Oscar Winner: Oliver! 1968

This movie was charming, and I recommend giving it a chance.

It started out with a few songs that were just ok, and I was a bit worried, and wondered how it possibly won Best Picture. But then I enjoyed the songs that came up, namely "You've Got To Pick A Pocket Or Two", "Consider Yourself", and "I'd Do Anything".

Then the plot took over and drew me in...

There was a great mix of serious themes and comedic ones.

Here's one of the scenes I enjoyed. We found out that Olivers voice was dubbed by the music director's daughter, and you can hear it.
