Book reading

I've gotten into the trend again of reading multiple books at one time.

  • How to Read Genesis, by Tremper Longman (on hold while I read Genesis 1-11)
  • Chasing Francis, by Ian Cron ( a Courtney favorite)
  • No More Shacks, by Millard Fuller (an outdated 1985 book about Habitat for Humanity that I picked up in the church library when I had nothing to do)
  • Adrenal Fatigue, by some guy (It's hard for me to plow through the text about what types of fats and oils are healthy, and stuff like that. Basically, if it's really expensive and inconvenient to buy at the health food store, this guy likes it.
  • The Cat Who Did Something... (not really the name of the book)
I think that's it right now.

  2. i'm laughing about the adrenal fatigue post. while cheap and convenient can mean unhealthy, it does not follow that expensive and inconvenient means healthy--nor does it follow that healthy is only implied by expensive and inconvenient. great insight and a good check for me when i feel guilty for not buying my family hormone free super $$$ organic milk.

  3. also, great blog. i don't check many blogs, and i check even fewer with any kind of frequency. but yours is great and i always enjoy checking up on your posts. when you finish your oscar-winner-viewathon i would really like to read/hear about how this experience has impacted you and what you have learned from it. your reviews are starting to pick up on more subtleties that i think most people (including me) miss. good job.
